As the world begins to re-open, our clients may be experiencing anxiety or feeling fearful about being in situations again where others are going to be in the ‘diet zone’.

Our first response may be to jump straight into solution mode when our clients are feeling anxious as a means of helping them. I would like to suggest that we begin to remind them of the resources that have gotten them this far.

One way we can do this is to have them settle themselves in the moment with us – back against the chair and feet on the floor.

Our client’s ability to re-orient themselves (feet on the floor) will always be there no matter what anyone else is saying or doing.

In this week’s video, I talk about equipping our clients with those resources, and how we can use something that’s always with us (our feet) to help us do the work.

Imagine feeling calm, collected and in control the next time your client is sitting in front of you panicking about their weight.

If you’re ready to feel confident about working with clients’ emotions regarding food and weight and give them the help they really need, here’s how.
