How to Ditch the "IBW" and "BMI" Talk For Good...

And have a HAES Conversation Without Offending Your Clients and Causing Them to Search Elsewhere for Help

What do I say when my client is panicking about their weight?!

We’ve all been there.

When we start researching HAES, and realize that up to 95% of weight loss efforts end up in failure…

When we begin to shift to a new way of thinking, that doesn’t involve having a scale at the office, or focusing on a client’s weight at every single appointment…

After we make the mental shift, it doesn’t necessarily mean our clients have.

In fact, they’re more focused and scared about their weight than ever before.

But when presenting the facts to them about weight loss, they want to either:

  • Find a Dietitian or Nutritionist (or worse! a “Health Coach”) who is pro-weight loss – which you know will end in diet cycling and worse health for the client…
  • Argue with you and insist that they know what’s best for them, and trying to change their body to fit some crazy chart is the goal, no matter what you say…
  • Show up for appointment #1, and then never come back again because it just “wasn’t the right fit” or what they were looking for…

That’s exactly why I’ve created this guide. To help outline these conversations and ensure they flow easily.
